Updates and the plan going forward

I hope everyone has a great holiday. It should be the same time this post went live. Here are a few things I would like to update you regarding the situation and how this will affect me and this blog site as we advance.

First and foremost, I would like to thank all my readers and anyone who supported me with this blog. As I already mentioned before, this was for my challenge when I started, so I do not expect anyone to read what I have to write. But it is still nice to know that there is still someone out there who appreciates what you do. I will try my best to stick with this challenge, and if you somehow stumble upon this site. It catches your interest somehow. Feel free to let me know, I usually only stick to a schedule of one post per week, but I might do it a bit more often depend on how much free time I have at hand. If there is some topic you want me to cover, feel free to request, and I will see if I can do about it.

The next thing I would like to mention is my recent life-changing event. You know, life-changing events happen all the time. have been pretty much stayed the same for the past couple of years. Stagnation is real, and I was hoping for some changes. I recently accepted a job offer at a new place, and I hope this will be a soft reset where I can start building up my career and start setting goals, and working toward them. Of course, to accompany this change, I have to also move to a new location, and a new house and thus that leads me to the following announcement.

For a long time, I have always wanted to have my place and make them into a smart home where I can do all the cool things (subjectively). The only issues were that I was holding out or just being lazy and afraid of changes that I stayed in 1 place for the longest time. And since I only rent a room, there isn’t much I can do when it comes to a smart home. As it was not my place, I always felt reluctant to put any effort into it, which was the vicious cycle of inaction. With this move, I finally get my to have my own place, the place I could finally call home. I want to pick up the plan of having my own smart home now that the opportunity presents itself.

Since I do not know anything about smart homes, I am literary a noob here ๐Ÿ˜‚ . I want to slowly learn about smart homes and automation. Since to have to learn from the beginning anyways, I figured why not just try to document the process ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ and maybe, just maybe someone who is in the same situation as me could find this helpful and avoid mistakes I made along the way (as I’m sure I will). I have decided to make this series name “Noob 2 Smart Home,” where you can see me making questionable decisions or at least see my thought process at the time. I don’t have anything to show yet since I still haven’t even started on the moving process, let alone setting up a smart home, but that wouldn’t be too long. Please look forward to it, and any feedback would be fantastic so that I can make improvements.

In conclusion, new place, new series for the smart home. Watch me struggle in trying to figure out how things work ๐Ÿ˜‰. Until next time, have a great week!
